What if I told you that babies can tell us what they are thinking and that they can do it long before they are able to speak? Baby Sign language makes it possible.
The workshop is targeted at parents, the registration fee is for both parents. Not yet mobile babies are welcome too.
Here is a sneak preview of My Baby can Sign 1 as it can already give you a little bit of an idea what signing looks like. After some impressions of the course you will see my daughter sign her way through meal time and animal signs just before her 1st birthday.
Just click the picture to start the video, enjoy!

I found the audio recordings were great for listening to in the car and on my phone… Truly portable and time saving! I’m also happy to report 9 month old Miguel has learned to use 4 signs during this course! It took much longer for my older son to begin signing and I think UYBT was a big factor in this. Keep it up, this is a great resource!
With my husband as a witness, Lena signed ‘milk’ this morning already sitting up in her bed and smiling at the day. And yes, she wanted to drink ‘more’ at breakfast when I latched her on. We are stunned. The course helped me realize that my baby daughter already wants to tell me so many things (what she sees, hears, feels, wants to know, needs, …). I also enjoyed the more general parenting (non-signing related) tips included in the course.
Every day is a surprise signing with Luka. Today we had a wonderful experience while skyping with my mum and grandma: I started to kiss Luka all around his neck and cheeks to make him smile and as soon as I stopped he signed ‘more’! I really enjoy signing with him…
I’ve just been trying to count up all of Louis’ signs. He’s 17.5 months now and I have counted 60 signs that he uses regularly. There may be others that I just haven’t thought of, but that’s what I came up with off the top of my head. My husband and I are so delighted we started signing when he was a tiny baby and persevered for many months when he wasn’t signing back. He finally clicked at about 12 months and his signing has just taken off since then. What’s even more amazing is that he recognises all of those words in English and French and has the sign as a bridge between the two languages. He still only has about 3 spoken words so it’s an absolute relief and joy that he can communicate with us using his signs. Just had to share this with you and the other signing Mamas! Thank you, Diana, for your infectious enthusiasm about baby signing. It really helped us to keep going for months and months before Louis actually started signing!
